After flicking through the music channels I came across Olly Murs' video to Dance With Me Tonight. It caught my eye due to the London setting and Indie feel to the video and it gave me inspiration for how I'd like our video to look. I liked the London streets setting along with aspects such as a market and also it showed some parts of London at night time, which we hoped to feature. The video also made me think about female representation as the video portrays the female in the video in a traditionally sexy male shirt and due to her good looks and blonde hair this is quite a negative representation as although she is not as sexualised as other music videos she is still seen as a sex object due to her sexy image. This is the complete opposite to how we would like to represent women, as we want to use classy and fashionable clothing which does not conform to other ideas of women, like this video. Overall, I enjoyed this video and it got me thinking about my own.
